BYU

BYU is amazing! It's so great here. My roomate is so sweet and so fun. All the girls on my floor are great. My classes are pretty good too - there's a lot of reading but I don't mind too much. It does kind of stink (ok it really stinks) waking up every morning before 7 am to get ready, have breakfast, and be at class by 8. But at least I'm not waking up at 4:30 for a cleaning job like some of the other girls here.
I got to see Pres Monson speak at a CES fireside sunday night, and that was amazing. And today I watched a really great devotional where Elder Holland spoke - it was a really great talk. Last night I went to Spoon Me for the first time, and I fell in love with frozen yogurt again. I went to a dance over the weekend for a little bit, and that was kind of fun too. I've gotten to hang out with some friends from Albany out here, and that's been good. It's really fun running into people you used to know.
Anyways, things are going great here so far :)

Goodbye NY

My last few days in NY were so much fun. I spent the last couple nights having a bonfire in the snow, watching movies, renting a ton of little kid movies like Barbie Princess and the Swan Princess, and just being silly. Robyn planned a little going away party for me, and it was so great. I got to see a lot of good friends, and eat a gigantic cookie & chocolate cake, yum. After everyone left, Robyn, Jossie, Paige and I got out a mystery date board game and played that for awhile. Then we watched a Barbie Princess movie (thats what inspired the princess movie marathon the next night). It was a completely girly night - so much fun. Yesterday Robyn, Jossie, and Paige came to say goodbye to me at the airport. It was sad, but I was glad they were there. I got to Utah around 11 PM and spent the night at the Laws. They were so great. Suzannne helped me pick up some last minute things and brought me to my dorm. I just finished unpacking a little while ago and realized how much I still need! I can't wait for my box of the rest of my stuff to get here from NY, that'll help. Until then, I'm going to sit on my bed and eat my Special K and look at my sad empty shelves. Tomorrow is my orientation, and at night my roomate gets back. I'm excited.
